 Description

The Pixel2DCR3 board allows you to drive reversible DC Motors and Linear Actuators from the data in a WS2811 pixel line.

No external configuration is needed, this board is PLUG & PLAY!

This board features 1 DC input, and 3 Reversible DC outputs. This board can be placed "in line" in a pixel string, and will output WS2811 data as well.

In addition to forward and reverse control, this board also features an auto-park mode.  When activated, the board will continue at the speed provided until the “Park” pin is pulled to ground.  This is great for using a hall effect sensor, or other “ground” locating mechanism for finding home.

Channel Configuration

The board consumes 3 pixels worth of data, or 9 channels.

If you are using xLights, we recommend using the following Pixel2DCR3 xModel:

  • Channels 1-3 are speed control.
  • Channels 4-6 are reverse control.  A value of 50% (127) or greater will activate reverse.
  • Channels 7-9 are park control.  A value of 50% (127) or greater will activate park.

Limit Switches

The board also features forward and reverse limit switch attachments for each port. This allows you to ensure that forward and reverse movements are clamped to safe values, and the motors don’t push props to places they aren’t supposed to be. Leave the limit switch attachment points bridged if you are not using limit switches in your display.
