Keep the details that make your EZRGB show repeatable: the correct media pair, the intended playlist, the calendar window, the controller route and the result you actually observed. These original Mattos tools give you a practical place to plan, rehearse and record the show.

The pack contains the PDF, XLSX and plain-text instructions. Use the workbook as a living planning record and print the sheets you need beside the show computer. The examples are illustrative; replace them with your own filenames, dates, devices and observations.

Tool What you record Useful moment
Songs worksheet Song title, FSEQ, audio or intentional silence, duration, tags and readiness. Before a batch import or after replacing media.
Playlists worksheet List name, role, order and planned duration. When arranging the main show, opening or closing set.
Schedule worksheet Date and repeat plan, window, playlist roles, runtime choice and ending intention. Before creating or changing calendar entries.
Controllers worksheet Controller identity, address, protocol, channel route and observed result. When proving that the intended props receive the show.
Checks worksheet Expected result, actual observation, status and follow-up. During rehearsal, restart checks and show night.
Three printable sheets Setup and library intake; schedule and audio plan; show-night checks and results. At the show computer, with room for handwritten notes.

Use the pack in a short, deliberate rehearsal

  1. Record the system. Write down the installed EZPlayer version, show-computer name and operating-system time zone. Identify whether your content is managed locally or through EZRGB cloud setup.
  2. Prove one item. Add one FSEQ with its correct audio, or record intentional silence. Confirm that the item is playable and observe it on the intended display. Follow Songs and media import.
  3. Build a short playlist. Use known items with recognizable transitions. Compare your written order with the saved playlist and play it through once. See Build EZPlayer Playlists.
  4. Plan one calendar window. Choose the repeat rule, Loop or Shuffle if needed, and closing behavior. Generate Schedule Preview, then watch a scheduled start and stop. Follow show scheduling.
  5. Check the audience path. Record the selected audio device and confirm it at the actual listening point. Check the final idle state and complete the show-night routine.

Make observations specific. “Expected roofline; garage lit instead” gives you a route to investigate. “Failed” alone does not. Record the affected song, controller or time boundary, change one thing, and repeat the same check. Use troubleshooting to choose the next check.

Understand what the workbook calculates

The workbook keeps straightforward planning arithmetic visible, such as adding the durations entered for a named playlist. Its rows are editable records, not an execution trace. EZPlayer’s own schedule preview is the place to inspect loops, shuffle, overlaps and ending policies. A workbook total does not reproduce that scheduling engine or prove that the physical lights played.

Neither download writes player configuration, imports a schedule, supplies commercial music or installs a sequence. Enter the reviewed choices through the appropriate EZPlayer interface. In particular, do not paste workbook content into the hidden .ezplayer configuration files. The official file reference warns against direct JSON edits while the player is running.

Keep the record useful

Save a dated copy after a successful rehearsal. Before the next season, review every file path, device name, recurring end date and controller route. Mark a check complete only after observing the current setup; a result from last year is background information.

Keep account secrets, player control links and private registration details out of sheets you plan to share. Use descriptive identifiers instead. Back up the actual show separately according to Back Up, Update and Recover EZPlayer.

Validation scope: the download files receive document layout checks and workbook formula checks. The planning examples have not been executed in an EZPlayer installation or tested on physical lighting or audio hardware. Use the blank observation fields to record your own results.

Documentation review: October 29, 2026, including the official EZPlayer v0.6.12 documentation. These are Mattos planning and operating guides. The workflows have not been run on an EZPlayer installation or physical display as part of this guide review; complete the suggested checks on your own system.
