A MegaTree should fit your yard, your lighting plan, and the way you will set it up every season. Start there. Height is one decision in a much bigger purchase.
Our MegaTree collection includes Sasquatch Legend, Tilt-Up, and DIY systems. Here is how we would narrow those choices before building your parts list.
Choose how you want to build and raise the tree
| System | What to plan around |
|---|---|
| Sasquatch Legend | A crank-up telescoping system. Check the chosen size, supplied components, lights, and installation requirements. |
| Tilt-Up Sasquatch | The selected model's assembled height, raising procedure, footprint, and included parts. |
| DIY Basic Sasquatch | The specified materials you will source locally, the required additional components, and the work involved in preparing them. |
Use the listing and instructions for the exact system you choose. An older Pro package name, a friend's DIY build, or a part that fits another tree is not a packing list for your order.
Pick the Legend size by name
The Sasquatch Legend product page lists these approximate heights. Confirm the selected variant and specifications when you order.
| Model | Approximate listed height |
|---|---|
| Apollo | 12 feet |
| Zeus | 17 feet |
| Olympian | 25 feet |
| Leviathan | 33.5 feet |
| Colossus | 39.5 feet |
When you ask us about a part, include the model name, order number, and purchase year. Rounded heights in older conversations can be different, and we want to match the hardware you actually own.
Measure the full setup area
Go to the spot where people will watch your show and take a daytime photo. Mark the tree position on it. Check how much of the house and other props it will cover from that view.
Then measure the installation area. Include the specified base and support arrangement, cables, assembly space, and access for raising or lowering. Keep the entire setup clear of overhead electrical lines and public paths. The visible circle of lights is only part of the space the tree needs.
If a location does not suit the documented support method, resolve that before buying. A different anchor, longer leg, or homemade brace is not automatically an approved solution.
Choose the lights with the tree
We designed the Legend conventional-pixel configuration around 32 strands, 2-inch pixel spacing, and 360-degree coverage. We do not recommend adding more conventional strands. A configuration beyond that standard requires Kraken lights and a check of the exact arrangement with us.
Extra holes in an accessory are not permission to add extra load. Write down strand count, pixels per strand, spacing, connector type, and coverage before deciding what to buy. The lighting plan has to make sense for the structure, controller, and power arrangement together.
Make three columns: included, owned, needed
Use the selected product variant to fill in what comes with the kit. Then list what you already have and what still needs to be ordered. Include the structure, approved support hardware, lights, mounting system, controller, supplies, extensions, output protection, and any topper decoration.
A structural kit, a light bundle, and a controller package are separate purchases unless that exact listing includes them. For DIY, add the cost and time for locally sourced materials. Also think through transport and storage; every part needs somewhere to go after the season.
Leave time to learn the system
Put parts inspection, a ground-level lighting test, software setup, structural assembly, and a full rehearsal on your schedule. A first-season MegaTree gives you plenty to learn, so make one strand work before connecting the entire lighting system.
Label that working test setup and save the controller settings. You now have a reference if the full installation behaves differently.
Let us help you check the plan
Email Support@Mattosdesigns.com with your desired model, site photo, measurements, lighting plan, existing controller, and the parts you want to reuse. Specific details let us work through the real setup with you.
Next, use our MegaTree site and budget checklist. If you already own a DIY kit, check what to verify before buying or cutting tubing.
