How is this different from a CO₂ jet?

CO₂ jets use pressurized gas cylinders for instant bursts. Aurora Jet Maxx creates a similar visual effect using heated fog fluid — no tanks, regulators, or refills required. You get the iconic vertical blast look with simpler logistics and lower operating costs.

Does it really reach 49 feet?

Yes — in no-wind conditions. Outdoor wind will reduce effective height. For maximum impact outdoors, position in sheltered areas or use during calmer conditions.

How long does the fog last in the air?

Aurora Jet Maxx is designed for fast dissipation. The fog column rises quickly and disperses within seconds — perfect for clean "hit" moments that don't linger or obscure sightlines.

Can I use it indoors?

Yes. The fast-dissipating output makes it suitable for indoor venues with adequate ventilation. The fog is water-based and non-toxic.

Is it really rainproof?

Yes. The Aurora Jet Maxx features a rainproof housing designed for outdoor events. However, avoid submerging or exposing to heavy flooding.

How long can I run it continuously?

With a 3L tank and consumption of ~1L every 2.2 minutes, expect roughly 6-7 minutes of continuous blast time per tank. For extended shows, plan refill breaks or use half-power mode for longer, lower-intensity effects.

What fog fluid should I use?

Use standard water-based fog fluid. SurgeFX Nebula™ fog fluids are formulated for professional machines and deliver consistent output without residue buildup.

What's the oil-free protection program?

The machine automatically detects when fluid is low and prevents dry firing. This protects the heating element and pump, extending the machine's lifespan.

Best for "Hit" Moments

Aurora Jet Maxx excels at short, timed blasts — drops, walkouts, beat hits, reveals, and finales. The fast-dissipating output resets quickly, keeping your show visuals sharp and controlled.

Preheat Planning

Allow 8 minutes for initial preheat. After that, reheat between blasts takes only ~50 seconds. Power up well before showtime and keep the machine warm throughout your set.

Fluid Management

The 3L tank provides 6-7 minutes of continuous blast time. For long shows, designate refill windows or keep a second machine ready. Never let the tank run dry — the oil-free protection will shut down output to protect the heater.

LED Color Programming

The 24 RGBA LEDs are independently controllable via DMX. Match fog jet colors to your lighting design, or program color chases that follow the music. The LEDs illuminate the fog as it launches for maximum visual impact.

Outdoor Positioning

Wind reduces effective jet height. Position machines in sheltered areas or behind stage structures when possible. For festival main stages, coordinate blast timing with calmer wind windows.

DMX Integration

Use the 9-channel DMX mode for full control over fog output, LED colors, and timing. In 2-channel mode, you get basic fog on/off and LED control for simpler setups.

Transport
