RGB Pixels Not Working? Start Here

Don't replace everything at once. Work through these simple checks and test one short section.

Nothing Lights

Power the system off. Verify the outlet and supply, output voltage, fuse, controller power, and the positive/ground pinout. Make sure data is connected to the pixel's input, not its output.

Lights Flicker or Change Color

Check the configured pixel type and color order, common ground, loose plugs, cable length, data signal, power voltage under load and possible water or corrosion at wire ends.

Only the First Part Lights

Review the controller's pixel count and output settings. Test the point where the working section ends using a known-good, compatible strand.

Everything Worked on the Bench But Not Outside

Review voltage drop, power injection, longer extensions, strain relief and enclosure protection. Do not work on energized mains wiring.

For Support or Replacement Review

Send a short video of the problem on a controller or tester, a close-up of the failing section, the connector and wire jacket, and your order information. Contact Support@MattosDesigns.com.

Troubleshooting a Baldrick?

Use the Baldrick symptom checklist to separate a network, controller, pixel or playback issue. For an unreachable address or planned firmware work, follow network and recovery guidance.

If EZPlayer is running your show

Start with EZPlayer troubleshooting to separate file, schedule, audio, network and controller symptoms. Record whether the controller test works and whether the failure affects one song or the entire show.
