Plan · Build · Test · Run

Get your first prop working. Understand what connects to what. Find the next useful check when the lights do something unexpected.

We have brought our setup guides, model downloads, planning tools, and troubleshooting help together so you can work through the job in front of you.

Baldrick: from first connection to a working show

Follow the Mattos setup path, use the practical downloads, and find the next check when your controller or pixels behave unexpectedly.

EZRGB & EZPlayer: design, content and playback

A dedicated learning path for the EZRGB system and EZPlayer application, from first setup to a repeatable nightly show.

New to pixels? Start here.

Choose one manageable project. Follow this order, and give yourself a working setup to build on.

  1. Choose what you want to build

Use Start Here for your first decisions, then see how the pieces fit in Build Your First RGB Show.

  2. Plan the whole parts list

Plan your first RGB pixel project before ordering. Keep the beginner shopping checklist beside your drawing.

  3. Choose your software and test one prop

Review sequencing software, then follow the xLights path or Light-O-Rama path below.

  4. Turn the working pieces into a show

Build your first synchronized holiday show and finish with the preflight checklist. Test the actual lights and player before opening night.

What is not working?

Pick the symptom. Start with one prop and one repeatable test, then change one thing at a time.

Need a broader starting point? Use Troubleshooting RGB Lights, or send us the setup details.

xLights & Falcon Player

Start with one model and controller. Then build the sequence and hand playback to the player you will use outside.

Light-O-Rama

Make the preview, network, and real lights agree before adding more effects.

Working in both programs? The network guide explains supported model imports and playback-file limitations. Check your installed release and license as you follow the steps.

Power, wiring & connectors

Plan around the lights you actually own. Keep voltage, current, data, and connector choices separate until you have checked the full system.

Pixels & controllers

Choose the parts from the prop plan, then check the exact model and variant before connecting them.

Build the project you have in mind

Use the guide for your project, with the current product instructions for its exact size and hardware revision.

Coro props & yard details

Sasquatch MegaTrees

Rooflines & permanent lighting

Moving heads

Use the manual and DMX chart for your exact fixture; settings can differ between models and revisions.

Show night & the next season

Keep the working setup documented, make changes deliberately, and rehearse from the player that will run the show.

A clear starting point helps us understand what you are seeing. Include:

  • The product and order number, controller model, and software version.
  • The pixel count, voltage, connector type, output, and cable length for the affected section.
  • What passes, what fails, and what you have already changed or tested.
  • A short video and clear photos of the labels, connections, or wiring path. Disconnect power before moving or inspecting connections.

If you are still planning, send a rough yard drawing and the parts you already own. We can start with the system you are actually building.
